Why is my claim split into different Master Point years ?

Only those points earned in the current year are eligible for inclusion in the yearly Master Point competition, in which all members participate.

Why is my "Competition Category" different to my ranking?

Your category, which is for the purposes of the yearly Master Point competition only, is the rank you held at the beginning of the current Master Point year, based on latest information. This will only change after the MP year has started if you subsequently register "previous year" points that would have affected that ranking if they had been registered earlier. Registering "current year" points will never affect your category.
