I was born in 2003 and live in Epsom with my parents and twin sisters.
I learnt bridge so that I would be allowed to stay up late and join in when my parents had friends over to play. When I was 7 I attended lessons at the Andrew Robson bridge club and started playing duplicates (including the Social duplicate at YCBC).
I made my international bridge debut last year at Tromso in Norway, partnering Harry Madden in the Under 15 European Youth Team Championships, August 2015. It was a lot of fun and I also enjoyed playing in Hluk, Czech Republic, later in the year.
My hobbies outside bridge include playing football, basketball, chess, go, the piano and the oboe.
My claims to fame outside bridge are:
- Youngest ever (at the time) to pass GCSE maths with A* (aged 7)
- Reached the final week of the first series of TV competition "Child Genius", 2013
- 6th place in the European U12 Go Championships, 2014, and current British youth Go champion

Since writing this biography, Oscar has finished 5th with Harry Madden in the Under 16 event at the 2016 European Youth Pairs Championship - the highest finishing position for any English pair. He also made his debut in the Peggy Bayer Trophy. He was then part of the Under 16 team that performed well at the World Youth Team Championships in 2016, finishing 8th and winning more than half of their matches in the round robin phase.
