Stephen Kennedy

I was born in November 1995 and currently live in Bexhill-on-Sea.

I was taught to play by my mother and attended several of the EBU JTIs, but I didn’t start playing the game regularly until 2009. In late 2013 I joined the England U20 squad which is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me.

In my early days on the squad I went through many partners such as Rhys Munden, Ben Norton and, more consistently, Laura Covill. When my age caught up with me, I moved up into the U25 squad and I began playing with Michael Alishaw. Michael and I have represented England on a number of occasions including the 2017 Junior Europeans in Slovakia. I now play with Tony Ye.

When not playing bridge, I write about it. Columnist for the EBU magazine and author of Crocs on Squeeze Play Volume One and Volume Two.

Also, my favourite colour may or may not be yellow.
