Henry Rose

Henry is 12 years old and lives in Oxfordshire. He is a pupil at the Dragon School in Oxford, where he first started learning bridge when he was at 8 years old.

Henry likes to spend most of his free time either playing bridge or reading bridge books but he is also a keen pianist and will often spend a day switching between the card table and his beloved Steinway.

Henry had his first experience of international bridge at the European Youth Pairs Championship in Latvia in July 2016, and he was then part of the Under 16 team that performed well at the World Youth Team Championships in 2016, finishing 8th and winning more than half of their matches in the round robin phase. He is hoping the u16s can do even better at the Europeans this year!
