Jon Derrick

Jon Derrick is originally from Brighton, but currently lives in York where he is in his second year studying for a degree in Computer Science.

He was first taught to play bridge at school in 2008, taken under the wing of Dave and Jill Armstrong who quickly titled him Captain -1400. He was first selected to play for the Under 20s Team at the 2013 Channel Trophy.

Jon’s greatest bridge achievements to date include appearing on the front page of the EBU magazine of October 2014 (signed copies available on request) and coming last in the Championship Pairs at the 2014 Easter Congress.

Whilst not at the table, he is a keen performer, being a member of his University’s Pantomime, Drama and Comedy societies. He also enjoys running and cycling, hoping to take part in his first triathlon later this year.
