Play with the Experts Pairs : Monday 13 August

So ... - what's it all about ?

First of all ... it is NOT about being drawn to play bridge with an expert which is what some people think it is. Nothing so scary - this is a FUN evening's bridge, played with your own partner, so don't worry!

This is a pairs event with teams scoring, which sounds complicated but is actually very easy and enormous fun. It is an evening of bridge that everyone, whatever their level of experience can play in and enjoy - you certainly don't have to be an expert to love this event.

The hands will be taken from a big teams Championship - perhaps a World or European event, where some of the best players in the world will have participated.

They will be from a specific match - perhaps England v USA I, or Brazil v Poland, and you will actually have as your "absentee team mates" one of the great pairs ... maybe Forrester & Robson, or perhaps Hamman & Wolff or Chagas & Branco.

You will play a normal pairs movement, but at the end you will be given a copy of your "team mates" score card, and will score in IMPs (international Match Points).
