The EBU Corwen Trophy

- the competition for counties' pairs champions!

15th – 16th June 2024, Yarnfield Park, Stone, ST15 0NL NOTE NEW DATES

TD in charge: TBC

Entry is open to the leading pairs in the current pairs championship of each County Association of the EBU. The number of pairs permitted from each County depends on the number of members (including Junior and Bridge for All members) notified to the EBU by 31st March 2024 i.e. a number of shareholder votes plus one.

Each County may offer substitutes for any of its qualified pairs unable to compete, and these will be called in on a next-in-line basis; only substitutes who have scored in excess of 50% including any carry-forward in the County Championship Final will be eligible in this respect. For further eligibility regulations, see the information on County Allegiance.

To enter

By entering an EBU congress or event you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out in the Terms and Conditions document.

County Secretaries will be provided with an entry form by EBU staff at a suitable time ahead of the event.

Online Event Prices

Competitions are an important way of raising the money necessary for the EBU's survival, and our pricing strategy for online events reflects this rather than the lower costs involved in running such events. Our intention is that this will continue for most of our online congresses and major competitions - they will be cheaper than face-to-face equivalents but will still be priced to help support other aspects of the EBU's work.

However, from April 2023 the entry fees for the Pachabo, Corwen and Tollemache will all be halved to support counties who may have reduced income from no longer running online one-day green-pointed events.
