The cosmopolitan new town with its innumerable boutiques and international restaurants centres around Mandraki Harbour, where boat trips can be taken to the island of Symi or Turkey.
Rhodes Town is only 4 km away and easily reached from the Rodian Amathus Hotel, Ixia by local transport, allowing you to explore this fascinating town at your own leisure and visit the museums and the Palace of the Grand Masters. Frequent buses stop directly outside the hotel and taxis journeys are short and inexpensive.
A boat trip to Lindos, the prettiest village on the island is not to be missed.
