Line 1: Line 1:
 +===== Scoring a Pairs Event =====
 +==== Select Movement ====

 +Firstly, you need to enter the number of tables, where the red circle is in the screenshot below (I have already selected '7' tables).\\
 +If you have a half-table, you should round up (& when you have selected the movement, enter the 'missing pair').\\
 +{{:screenshot_selectmove.png?400|}}
 +
 +You will see that a list of potential movements appears in the main window.  The choice is extensive, far too much so for most 'normal' clubs.\\
 +You will probably just be interested in the 'Mitchell' option, and perhaps one or two Howells.
 +You can amend the options that are visible via the 'list' options towards the bottom right.
 +For example, clicking on the 'Club + Mitchells' option will reduce the list to just the 'Standard' and 'Hesitation' Mitchells, until such time as you have added further movements to your own club favourites.\\
 +
 +Assume for the time being that you just want to run a standard Mitchell: click on this option from the list.\\
 +Even now, there are further options available.  Where it's not obvious what they mean, they can almost certainly be safely ignored!\\
 +Just make sure, when you run a Mitchell, to check that your 1-winner / 2-winner options are correct! (including how many arrow-switched rounds you have).  N.B., when running a 1-winner movement, it is not an option for E/W pairs to take their table numbers as pair numbers.
 +
 +When you are satisfied with the movement & options selected, click on OK.  A pop-up will confirm your selections, and you will be taken back to the [[eventmenu2|Event Menu]].
