What
is EBUTA?
The EBU Teachers' Association, EBUTA,
exists to promote and support effective bridge teaching. Its aims
are to increase the extent and improve the standard of bridge
teaching across England, so as to increase the number of people
who play and enjoy bridge. These aims are achieved through the
encouragement of EBUTA membership and the provision, to its members,
of information, advice and training related to all aspects of
bridge teaching at all levels.
Can anyone belong ?
Membership is open to all EBU members,
whether established teachers or those interested in taking
on this role. Initially, you join as an Associate
member, gaining access to the wide range of membership
benefits. Following attendance on one or more of our practical
training workshops and after attending a
practical teaching session delivered by a colleague, you
can qualify as a Full member by being assessed as competent
when presenting a teaching session, either live in the
classroom or simulated in a workshop environment. Subsequently,
those who are making a career of bridge teaching may progress
to Professional membership, a status which carries with
it considerable recognition across the bridge-playing
fraternity.
