You may have seen this headline recently and wondered how it will affect bridge courses at your local education centre. The effect will vary from place to place; with many centres busy rewriting their brochures. Some courses will be axed, others will be charged at a higher rate and some will only run if the class is large enough.

ihis is a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY for bridge clubs and teachers. By setting up and running bridge classes or additional classes at the local bridge club, you can make playing at the club the natural progression from classes, so increasing your membership.

Previous experience of teaching is not required, nor do you need to be a brilliant player. To find a training workshop follow the link to

ruring September the EBU will be hosting a series of free bridge taster sessions, in conjunction with the launch of a new Seven Seas supplement, at ten locations throughout England . A list of dates and venues will be published here on the site, and your club or teacher could be involved in this promotional campaign, just click here to email John Pain for further information.
