A series of two-day workshops for people new to bridge teaching or who have done a small amount of informal teaching and need some fresh impetus. Even if you have some experience of teaching other subjects, there is plenty on the course for you. In addition to some insight into bridge teaching techniques, there are practical exercises demonstrating how bridge can be taught in the classroom.
As part of the course you will be given a set of EBU teachers' notes and students' notes and be asked to prepare a short lesson (about 15 minutes) and deliver it to your fellow course members. The EBU teaching scheme, the complete learn and play programme developed by the EBU, is an ideal way for new bridge teachers to enter the profession.
The course is non-residential, but we will supply you with a list of local hotels, B&Bs and guest houses. Alternatively you may prefer to contact the local Tourist Information Office.
ehese workshops are available only to EBU and EBUTA members.
EBUTA provides ongoing advice and support to bridge teachers. It also provides generous discounts with the EBU Shop and runs an insurance scheme for teachers.
The course fee includes your EBUTA subscription for the current year - currently £12. Existing EBUTA members may deduct £12 from the course fee.
