As members may know, the Annual General Meeting of the English Bridge Union is taking place today (Thursday October 2nd) in London.
The election results were announced at 2.30 p.m. and they were as follows:-

| 5 Martin Pool | 58 |
| 6 Graham Jepson | 56 |
| 7 Jeff Morris | 54 |
| 8 Alan Nelson | 53 |
| 9 Malcolm Oliver | 46 |
| 10 John Carter | 44 |
Steve Eginton was nominated but missed out on being elected with 29 votes.
After that vote was complete there was another vote for the three Officers of the EBU and the result was as follows:-
Chairman - Sally Bugden
Vice Chairman - Andrew Petrie
Treasurer - Michael Hill
Voting also took place for the three committees and the following members were elected:-
Laws & Ethics Committee – No requirement for election, but a vote was needed to ascertain the terms of office. The top two for a three year term of office and the third for two years.
Martin Pool (re-elected)
David Stevenson (re-elected)
Neil Morley
Selection Committee the top three for three year term of office and the fourth for one year:-
David Burn
Simon Cochemé
Tom Townsend
Steve Eginton
Tournament Committee – Two nominations were received, for two places, so no election required.
Brian Crack & Paul Hackett were therefore re-elected for a further three-year term of office.
