The Gold Award
The Gold Award is given for outstanding contribution to the management/administration of the game at national and/or international level.
2007 winner - Gerard Faulkner
Gerard has been an EBU Board Member for over 27 years, Chairman for 11 years, Vice-Chairman for over a year. He has also been a member of the Tournament Committee (over 30 years), the Laws and Ethics Committee (since the early 70's), and the Selection Committee (for 26 years, as chairman for 6 years).
Gerard was on the BBL Council for many years and was its last Vice President; he served on its sub-committees, often as Chairman. He has also been a delegate to the EBU for over 30 years. As NPC of England: unbeaten in more than twenty matches.
