Duncan Happer is 25 years old, and lives near Loughborough where he has been all his life (almost). He went to school at Loughborough Grammar School and then to the University where he graduated in Mathematics, before returning to work at Loughborough Grammar. Duncan first met bridge seriously at school under the Starkings regime meeting a scary young lady called Susan for the first time which developed into an enjoyable partnership and great friendship for many years. Now Duncan plays with the even more scary Ben Green! Ben is also a close friend of Duncan’s which is fortunate given all of the travelling they have done together.

Duncan has represented England in Peggy Bayer’s, Junior Camrose’'s, Carousel Cups, Channel Trophy’s, four Junior European Championships and one Junior World Championship over his long junior career. All of these events have been with Susan or Ben and have been greatly enjoyable experiences, some successful and some not. Now in his last junior event, a fifth Europeans, he is pleased to be in a team which he has been good friends with for so many years.
