Elizabeth Roberts, 19, lives near Manchester, although she's about to go into her final year at Cambridge University where she studies mathematics.
She started playing bridge when she was 12, although she'd been playing minibridge at home for a few years before that. She played first for England in an U20 friendly against Scotland in 2004, and then partnered Suzanna Morton in the girls' event at the 2005 Europeans.
Away from the bridge table she enjoys racquet sports, and also plays the cello when she has the time."
