Bridge at the Ballet

Eighty people enjoyed the first event of the newly formed partnership between the EBU and the Ambassador Theatre Group.

The venue was Milton Keynes and people travelled from as far away as Kent, Dorset and Avon.

The afternoon bridge held in the Theatre Foyer was won by Elaine Taylor and Dory Thompson (Berks & Bucks) pictured above with John Pain of the EBU. Carole Lewis and Sheile Fone (Herts) came second and Helen Foster & Freddie Foster third.

The day was welcomed by all those present for its innovation and after the bridge, players dispersed to local restaurants before returning to the theatre for the evening. The successful day was completed by a magnificent performance of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty by the Moscow State Ballet.

This was the first in what we hope will be a series of events that will offer something new to all our members.
