Brideshead Revisited

In association with the Yorkshire Contract Bridge Association a bridge day out was held at the world famous Castle Howard, this being part of the expanding range of social events organised by the EBU.

Whilst the house has been the home of the Howard family for over 300 years it is probably best known for its role in the filming of Brideshead Revisited.

A private guided tour of the house was enjoyed in the morning. After lunch an afternoon of duplicate bridge was followed by a cream tea and prize giving.

The winners of the Bridge were Alan Fell (Yorks) & Linda Macfarlane (Leics) with Graham Jepson ( Yorks ) & May Plant ( Derby ) in second place and Margaret Vinten & Keith Pilcher (Lancs) came third
