Seniors Trials

Seniors Camrose Trial 2011

 

The EBU Selection Committee plans to hold a Seniors Team Trial to select a team for the Seniors Camrose Trophy to be held on 18th-20th May 2012 in Scotland. Applications are invited from teams of up to six players, all of whom qualify to represent England and were born in 1952 or before. Participation in the Trial will be subject to the Conditions of Contest which will be available on request from 15th November 2011, and the winning
team will compete in the Seniors Camrose Trophy on a self-funding basis.

 

Date(s) and venue of Trial
The Trial will be held on 17th & 18th December 2011 at the Young Chelsea Bridge Club. The format will be a round-robin, with the winning team guaranteed selection.

Seniors European Championship Trial

 

Applications are invited from teams of up to six players all of whom qualify to represent England and were born in 1952 or before, to challenge a team captained by Paul Hackett, for selection for the 2012 European Seniors Championships.

In the event that more than team one applies, there will be a play-off on 19th-20th November 2011, in London, the winner playing a challenge match against Paul Hackett’s team in January 2012. Participation will be subject to the Conditions of Contest which will be available on request from 31st October 2011, and the team winning the Challenge will compete in the European Seniors Championship on a self-funding basis.
