If you wish to apply for approval of any convention which is not currently permitted, please write to the Secretary of the Committee. Submissions should be on A4 paper, preferably typed or very clearly written; anything difficult to read will be returned without having been considered. Faxes and emails are welcome so long as they are legible.

It is helpful to include a logical defence to any convention, and to indicate how it is to be shown on the convention card.
Applications should be received by March 31st in any year.  New conventions that are approved will be permitted from August 1st in the same year and be incorporated in the annual update of the Orange Book 2006.

Applications should be accompanied by a fee of £xx.  Cheques should made payable to the English Bridge Union
