When asked for the meaning of 4 South says that it showed no or four aces. She has forgotten that it actually showed no or three aces, and that is why she bid 5 she was looking for a Grand Slam. East calls the TD at the end of the hand and says she would have led the4 against 6NT had she known that there might be an ace missing, as the ‘only chance to beat it.’
