The NGS working party has continued to work hard behind the scenes on the implementation of the new National Grading Scheme to provide a fair and trustworthy measure of an individual’s current performance.
The final stages of testing will be happening in the next month or two; we then have to prepare and undertake an extensive communication programme so that members understand what the NGS is all about, how it applies to them and the options that they may have for privacy, etc. In addition we must make available for those that want it a very detailed description of the system and how it works.
Finally, we need to bring the current gradings up to date with every available piece of data, including EBU events, that we have records for.
The likely date for initial release of grades is probably towards the end of 2011.
