Welcome to the Winter 2013 edition of the e-newsletter for all the people that run our affiliated clubs. If you are receiving this newsletter on behalf of your club committee please, please ensure that you circulate it to all involved in the organisation of your club's activities. Thank you for the support that you have offered the EBU in 2013.
I'm very pleased that this edition is going to more people and clubs than before. Nine new clubs have affiliated since June, taking the number of new affiliations in 2013 to 21. Welcome to all of them.
We have some interesting articles for you to read in this issue including detail on our revised prize structure for SIMS starting in January 2014.
I'd like to remind clubs that there is a host of services and assistance that we can provide with the running of your club - whether you are looking at trying to develop your club, to register as a charity, to ensure the best corporate governance through our model club constitution, subsidised tournament director courses and club teacher courses and from January there is also the chance to be entered into a draw to win £1000 for the club if your club participates in any of our simultaneous pairs.
