Merseyside & Cheshire Bridge Association have announced the passing of Ralph Churney at the age of 83.
Ralph won the Gold Cup in 1987, and went on on represent Great Britain in the Europa Cup in Denmark in 1988. He also won other major tournaments, including the Tollemache Cup, Silver Plate, National Swiss Teams and Life Masters Pairs.
He was a Director at Liverpool Bridge Club for many years. His funeral was held last week.
