Gail Nancarrow

Gail Nancarrow, born 29th September 1961 in Hong Kong. I am married with two fantastic children; Clare aged 15 and Jack aged 10.
Currently, living in Aylesbury, but from Scotland (after returning from Hong Kong in 1968).
Educated in Troon, Ayrshire to O’level standard and then went to Ayr Technical College to learn Shorthand/Typing
Previously worked for First National as a Systems Analyst and prior to that with Household Mortgage Corporation as a Business Analyst.
I don’t currently play bridge but would love to learn – just wish other half wanted too as well! I enjoy playing badminton, watching football (although don’t enjoy watching Scotland at the moment!), eating, drinking and then eating some more!
I joined the EBU in March 2005 and just love it! My job is varied and interesting and covers all financial matters, from the daily banking and account reconciliations to producing the management accounts. Basically, anything to do with money - I'm interested!
If I were stranded on a desert island, I’d like it to be with Alan Shearer – he’s just so lovely!
If I came back as an animal, I’d like to be a monkey – they appear to have such fun (although they possibly eat a bit too much fruit for my liking)
Not sure what my ideal job would be – it’s here for now!
My dream holiday would be to go to America and visit every state!
I guess I most admire Ellen MacArthur – she is just the bravest lady ever!
Mmm – does the TV Guide or the take away menu count as books I am currently reading?? What mum has time to read books, unless I can say “Holes” by Louis Sachar which I am reading with my 10 year old!
One of the many CD’s in my car is Rachel Stevens
To a dinner party, I would like to invite Princess Diana, Paul Gascoigne, Sir Alex Ferguson and Robbie Williams
Ideal night would be in with an Indian take-away (lots of it) and a good film.
I guess people might not know that I can count in Chinese – but not Master Points!
