Juniors miss out on prizes in Amsterdam

England's juniors competed in the White House Junior Internationals in Amsterdam last week (20th - 26th March), and put in a solid, but ultimately fruitless, performance.

In the teams event, which included teams from 15 European countries, the Red team reached the quarter finals where they lost to eventual winners Poland. The White team narrowly missed out on qualifying for that stage, finishing two places outside the qualifying spots.

In the pairs event which followed, half of the pairs finished in the top half of the field, with Michael Alishaw & Ben Norton the top performers, ending 11th of the 40 pairs.

England were being represented by:
England White: Yvonne Wiseman & Ben Norton; Toby Nonnenmacher & Michael Alishaw
England Red: Alex Roberts & Ankush Khandelwal; Shivam Shah & Freddie Illingworth
Captain for both teams: Jon Cooke
