England win silver in Lady Milne Trophy

England have finished second in the Lady Milne Trophy, the competition for the national women's teams from the five NBOs of the British Isles which took place just outside Belfast.

The winners were Scotland, who dominated the event, winning all five matches with relative ease, and finishing on 87.68 VPs out of a possible 100. The England team of Fiona Brown and Helen Erichsen, Christine Jepson and Catherine Curtis, Sarah Ewart and Ewa Kater, with NPC Heather Dhondy, won all matches with the exception of a 20-0 defeat to Scotland. They finished on 63.20 VPs, with Ireland third on 49.57 VPs. Defending champions Wales were fourth.
