The Blue Book is the handbook of of EBU permitted understandings, your first point of reference to find out what you can play in different events.
The 2017 version of the book (effective from 1st August 2017) is available here (you can right-mouse-click on the link and save the pdf to your own computer then open it from there).
Please note that new regulations relating to ‘strong’ bids have replaced the Extended Rule of 25 - see the Blue Book for more details.
There is also a summary 'poster' covering the significant changes in the Blue Book for 2017. This is available for clubs to print off and make available on their noticeboard, or to distribute to interested members.
A small number of printed copies of the book will be available from The Bridge Warehouse.
Submitting a method
Additions and amendments to permitted methods normally take effect from 1st August and any applications to change anything need to be received by the L&E Secretary by the end of February.
If you wish to apply for approval of any agreement not currently permitted you should send your application by email to email@example.com.
You should include a logical defence to any agreement and indicate how it is to be shown on the system card. The Committee tend to look more favourably on applications that are not especially difficult to defend against.
