Bryony Youngs

Bryony started learning bridge in October 2002 while studying for a MSc at Durham University. Two years later she started playing with Susan Stockdale and in March 2005 they played in (and won!) their first Lady Milne. In July 2005 they played for the U25 girls' team at the European youth championships and they played together in Bryony's second Lady Milne in 2007. She completed a PhD in geophysics at the University of Leeds in 2007 and shortly after that started a research post at Yale University. Bryony then played in 2011 Lady Milne with Alice Kaye, and also won the Teams event at the 2008 Spring Bank Holiday Congress.

Bryony was coach of the Under 20 team at the 2015 European Youth Championships, and is assistant squad leader of the Women's Under 26 squad.
