EBU - Partner Teachers Courses

A successful Partner Teacher Course took place at the EBU Headquarters over the weekend of Friday 10 to Sunday 12 October 2014. Thank you to all who participated.

Dates and Venues for 2015

For 2015, we are planning to run Partner Teacher Workshops directly in conjunction with our Club Teacher Courses. Club Teacher Courses usually run from 3.30pm on Friday working through the evening until about 9pm, with a break for supper. On Saturday the course starts at 9.30am and runs until 6pm.

We usually provide a light supper at a local restaurant on the Friday, and a buffet lunch on the Saturday, as well as tea and coffee breaks. Catering arrangements may vary by venue.

We will now offer the Partner Teacher Workshop which concentrates on the business aspects of operating as a bridge teacher as a separate stand-alone module on the Sunday. The module will start at 9.30am and finish no later than 5pm.

In all cases, course members will need to make their own arrangements for overnight accommodation. Courses are limited to 12 people.

Our intention is to offer at least one Club Teacher Course with the Sunday Partner Teacher module both at the EBU offices in Aylesbury and at the West Midland Bridge Club over the course of 2015. We will also try to offer the course at other centrally located venues around the country.

Club Teacher Courses can be set up in direct response from EBU county associations (or clubs) who are able to guarantee a minimum number of participants (usually eight). Please contact Simon Barb to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Sunday Partner Teacher modules will be held subject to demand and the availability of suitable tutors.
