Junior Camrose & Peggy Bayer - some facts

The most capped player in the Peggy Bayer is Claire Evans of Wales, but the player with the most victories to his name is John Atthey, who won every year from 2001 until 2005, he also won the Junior Camrose in 2006.

Danny Davies of Sheffield holds the record for the most number of Junior Camrose trophies won by a player, he played every year from 1990 until 1997 (8 in total) winning them all, his partners included Peter Dunsby, Phil Souter and Tom Townsend.

Alex Morris has won more than any other player of those still playing, curiously enough having won it in every even numbered year since 2002!

Susan Stockdale, also on the team this year holds the curious distinction of having been the only player to win one of the home nations championships before she won the Junior Camrose. Having won the Peggy Bayer 3 times, Susan went and won the Ladies Championships, The Lady Milne in 2006 (also held at the Chancellor's Conference Centre in Manchester) then went back and won the Junior Camrose in Ireland.

Jason Hackett and Michael Byrne are the only two players to have won one of the competitions and then gone back and captained the team to victory in the same event!
