The annual Varsity Match was held on 4th /5th March 2006 at the Oxford and Cambridge Club in Pall Mall .

Oxford University won by 136 IMPs, after Cambridge conceded with eight boards (out of 96) to play. It was Oxford 's first victory since 1998.
