The Portland Bowl Finals took place this weekend, 20th - 21st April 2024 at the famous Portland Club in London.
In the semi-finals of the Portland Bowl, Warwick A beat UCL A by 80 IMPs (126-46), and Oxford A beat Durham A by 35 IMPs (135-100).
In the Portland Bowl final, Oxford A beat Warwick A by 23 IMPs (105-82). The Oxford line-up, pictured, with Richard Pollitzer (Vice Chairman of the Portland Club), included Thomas Gardner, Ewa Wieczorek, Henry Rose, Nicholas Lee, Lawrence Wang. This is Oxford’s 12th victory in the Portland Bowl, their last being in 2022, and also a third individual victory for both Ewa and Lawrence. The Warwick A team were Madelina Amza, Patrick Gaudart, Matthew Honey, Nathan Lockwood & James Wilson.
In the Portland Bowl Plate final (the consolation event), Imperial A beat Durham B by 158 IMPs (204-46). The Imperial A team were Ryan Song, Lee Ann Madissoon, Ervin Wee, Jacky Fu (picture).
In the Portland Bowl 3rd place playoff, UCL A beat Durham A by 18 IMPs (82-64).
