The 11th European Transnational Championships have now completed in Poznan, Poland. In the Open category seven teams had English players out of a field of 123 teams. The final remaining English team in the Round of 32 was Team Allfrey (Alexander Allfrey, Andrew Robson, Peter Crouch & Jeremy Willans), who were knocked out by SPS Kielce Poland on Tuesday,
In the Women's Pairs A final Sally Brock, playing with Jovanka Smederevac (of France), finished in 6th place with a score of 51.18%. Helen Erichsen and Fiona Brown were 8th with 48.13% and Diana Nettleton (playing with Nadia Bekkouche of Denmark) was 12th with 44.52%.
In the Pairs B final Artur Malinowski and Grzegorz Blicharz finished 2nd with a score of 62.64%.
In the second week BAM A final Team Black (Andrew Black, David Gold, Peter Bertheau, Simon Hult, Andrew McIntosh, Tom Paske) were the best placed team with English representation in 7th place. In the BAM B final the winners were Team Oasis (Sebastian Atisen, Andy Cope, Ambrose Holmes-Mackie and Oscar Selby), congratulations to them!
