The 2026 LlanBrighton Congress was held this weekend in Brighton, a joint event by the EBU and WBU.
The Swiss Pairs was won by John Atthey & Sally Anoyrkatis with 113 VPs. In second place were Martin Jones & Abbey Smith with 111 VPs and in third place were David Cock & James Cole with 99 VPs.
The Swiss Teams was won by the team of Tom Townsend, Michael Hornung, Ben Norton & Stefano Tommasini (pictured) with a score of 114 VPs. In second place were Gunnar Hallberg, Sally Clark, Barry Myers & Sally Brock with a score of 89 VPs and just one VP behind in third place were the team of Martin Jones, Abbey Smith, John Atthey & Sally Anoyrkatis.
The weekend started on Friday evening with a Pre-Congress Pairs, won by Tony Leibowitz & Artur Malinowski. In second place were David Willis & Sara Moran and in third place were John Sansom & Jason Hackett. Also on Friday was the Cymrose Trophy, won by Jason Hackett & John Sansom. In second place were Tony Leibowitz & Artur Malinowski, and in third place were Katie Duncanson & Ken Ford.
