Changes to EBU Governing Documents

At the EBU AGM on 27 November, the Board will be proposing that new Articles and Bye-Laws be adopted.

Note: On 28th October further minor changes were made as result of further shareholder suggestions.

Following the recent consultation meetings to discuss the proposed changes, the documents containing the proposed new Articles and Bye-Laws, as well as those explaining the expected changes and the reasons for them, are now also available for any member to download and read.

Document 1: is the final proposed revised Articles of Association to be presented to the AGM and which, if carried, will govern the EBU going forward and are the main substance of the Board's proposals.
Documents 2, 3 and 4 are revised Bye Laws and their appendices which have, for the most part, just been amended to be consistent with the new Articles.
Document 5 is the Board's explanation for its original proposals. A version of this was previously circulated but it is included here for convenience.
Document 6 sets out the changes which the Board has and has not made to its original proposals as a result of the consultations with shareholders.

The Board believes that these documents map out a future for the EBU and will ask the shareholders to approve them at the AGM. The Board is happy to continue to answer by email any further questions from shareholders and county associations.
