Congratulations to Michael Byrne, David Barton, Gary Hyett & John Holland (pictured) (not pictured are Raymond Semp and the late Michael Newman who played in earlier rounds) who won the final of the 2019-2020 NICKO (National Inter Club Knockout) yesterday at Coventry Bridge Club as part of the Cheadle Hulme A team.
They beat the Young Chelsea I team (Mike Bell, Paul Russell, Susanna Gross, Phil King, Sarah Bell & John Cox) by a margin of 41 IMPs over 48 boards.
This was a first time win for David Barton, 2nd for Gary and Michael, and 3rd time for John.
There was an original entry of 200 teams for this competition. There is still time to enter for the 2022/23 competitions, the entry deadline is midday Monday 10th October
