Cope & Bond win Two-Star Pairs at Spring Bank Holiday Congress

The Spring Bank Holiday Congress was held this weekend, in Reading. 

Simon Cope & James Bond (pictured) won the Two-Star Pairs, with a score of 58.95%. In second place were Martin Jones & Abbey Smith, with a score of 58.21%. Stefano Tommasini & Neil Rosen finished third with 56%. The Two Star Pairs and the Swiss Pairs is part of the Pairs Player of the Year Championship. Abbey and Martin are now sitting in joint 12th place with 74 ladder points, while Diana Nettleton is now top of the Pairs Player of the Year Leaderboard with 130 ladder points.

The Swiss Teams was won by the team of Helen Rose, James Thrower, David Willis & Miu Wong (picture) with a final score of 99 VPs. In second place were Martin Nygren, Margaret Nygren, Cameron Small & Jon Cooke with a score of 94 VPs.

The Swiss Pairs was won by Matt Brown & Diana Nettleton (picture), with a score of 108 VPs. In second place were Gad Chadha & Stephen Lee, with a total of 105 VPs.

In the Jack High Swiss Pairs, Steve Wadman & Maurice Daniels (picture) finished in first place with a total of 91 VPs. In second place were Angela Adams & Leonie Pulford with 85 VPs.

Meanwhile, the online 9-High Improvers Pairs, was won by Derek Boreham & Colin Coxon, with Maureen Marr & David Herbert taking second place.
