The Corwen and the new Nine-High Corwen took place online this weekend.
John Sansom & Clive Owen (pictured), of Worcestershire, won the Corwen Trophy with a score of 57.17% over the two days. In second place were Michael Jackson & John Hayton (Yorkshire) scoring 56.99% and in third were Jim Grant & Stefan Lindfors (Devon) with 56.98%.
The event is for the leading pairs in the most recent pairs championship of each County Association of the EBU.
The Nine-High Corwen is new this year and is an equivalent event for players of NGS grade 9 or lower. The winners were Judith Williams & Maureen Brinton (pictured), of Cornwall, who scored 61.60%. In second place were Ren Buss & Martin Craven (Yorkshire) with a score of 59.54% and in third were Jo Lormor & Freda Simpkin (North East) with 57.92%.
