Congratulations to the England Women's team who claim bronze at the World Championships!
In their semi-final match against Turkey, they played a gruelling schedule of 4x16-board matches to make up for the postponement on Tuesday, but lost 193-236 and Turkey will now face Sweden in the final. England share the bronze medal with Poland, who lost their semi-final match to Sweden. Representing England were: Sally Brock, Fiona Brown, Heather Dhondy, Nevena Senior, Catherine Draper & Gillian Fawcett, with NPC: David Burn.
Congratulations are also due to the England Open team who reached the World Championship Quarter Finals. Having led for much of the match, the Open team were finally knocked out by the mighty Swiss team.
