Entries Invited for the 2026 European Team Championships

The Trials for the 2026 European Team Championships are available to book via MY EBU.

Open Trial

The deadline to apply to play the Open Trial is 19th September 2025 by 12 noon. The entry fee for Stage One is £180 per person. Pairs may apply for an exemption from Stage One by emailing sc.chair@ebu.co.uk.

• Stage One will take place at the West Midlands Bridge Club commencing no earlier than 6:00pm on Friday, 10th October and finishing on Sunday 12th October 2025.
• Stage Two will take place at the Young Chelsea Bridge Club over four days, 30th October though 2nd November 2025. The entry fee for Stage Two will be £60 per player for qualifiers from Stage One and £240 per player for pairs granted exemption from Stage One.

Note that 15th September 2025 is the latest date for the Selection Committee to amend the format of the Open trial. Any pre-selection, in addition to David Gold and Andrew Robson, will be also decided by this date.

Mixed Trial

The deadline to apply to play the Mixed Trial is 28th November 2025 by 12 noon. The entry fee for Stage One is £560 per team.

• Stage One will take place at the East Midlands Bridge Academy commencing no earlier than 6:00pm on Friday, 2nd January and finishing on Sunday 4th January 2026.
• Stage Two will take place at the Oxford Bridge Club commencing no earlier than 6:00pm on Friday, 16th January and finishing on Sunday 18th January 2026. Qualifiers from Stage One will be required to pay an additional entry fee of £560 per team.

Women’s Trial

The deadline to apply to play the Women’s Trial is 30th January 2026 by 12 noon. The entry fee is £750 per team. The trial will take place at the Young Chelsea Bridge Club from 20th to 22nd February 2026. The timings will be determined once the number of entries is known.

Seniors’ Trial

The deadline to apply to play the Seniors’ Trial is 27th February 2026 by 12 noon. The entry fee is £750 per team. The trial will take place at the West Midlands Bridge Club from 13th to 15th March 2026. The timings will be determined once the number of entries is known.
