We are extremely sorry to hear of the death of Gwynne Hughes earlier this week after a long illness. Gwynne created Bridgewebs in 2005 at the request of a friend in his local bridge club, to provide the ability to capture and broadcast the results of each week's game to the members of the club.
After that it expanded enormously and it is now used by almost 2000 clubs in over 30 countries globally, providing a unique, indispensable tool for efficiently managing the administration of bridge clubs.
The EBU offers our condolences to his wife Christine and to his friends and colleagues including those in Bedfordshire and in Regis Bridge Club. We fully expect Bridgewebs to continue to operate and offer its valuable services to bridge clubs in the EBU and across the world and will do all we can to ensure that is the case.
