The 2024/25 Crockfords Cup has been won by the Hillman team of Richard Hillman, Sebastian Atisen, Ben Green, Barry Myers, Sally Brock & Keith Bennett (pictured). They prevailed by 9 VPs in the eight team final which took place this weekend at the West Midlands Bridge Club, Solihull.
The Hillman team finished on 91 VPs from their seven matches, with the Byrne team of Michael Byrne, Kieran Dyke, Alec Smalley & Gary Hyett finishing in second place with 82 VPs. In third place on 78 VPs was the Wightwick team.
The Crockfords Plate - a competition for those beaten in the Round of 16, the round before the final - was won by Stefano Tommasini, Ben Norton, Martin Jones & Adam Hickman (picture). They finished on 71 VPs, with the Gisborne team of Tom Gisborne, Sandy Davies, Dave Banks & Mike Pomfrey in second place with 55 VPs.
