The World Bridge Federation have announced an exciting new global initiative: The e-Bridge Cup, created in collaboration with BBO and Funbridge.
This innovative event is open to bridge lovers everywhere, from passionate club players to those who enjoy a casual game at home. For the first time, players of all levels will have the chance to compete globally in an online format, playing individually with and against robots – a unique and modern experience!
Qualification is now open until 28th September 2025.
To play in a qualification event, simply log in on BBO and/or Funbridge and go to the events / special events page, you'll be able to register before the event starts.
Players who advance will compete in a semi-final and final with generous cash prizes and Master Points awarded to top performers. Local Points will be awarded to the top 12 EBU members playing in the first stage of the event and Blue Points to the top 12 EBU members in the semi-final and final.
Players who don’t make it to the semi-final can continue their journey in the e-Cup2, also offering excellent cash prizes. This structure ensures that everyone has a reason to play, especially newer and younger players who are developing their skills and confidence.
