A new online pairs event for juniors, run this year by the SBU on behalf of BGB, will take place on Sunday 11 April. The event will be run live on BBO, with free entry.
Depending on numbers, there will be two separate events - Under 26 and Under 21.
The U26 winners will win the new Liz McGowan trophy and the U21 winners will get the new Paul Porteous trophy. It is hoped to be able to present these in person the next time a home international event is held in the country of the winning pair.
Mixed pairs of U21 and U26 are welcome ut will be expected to play in the U26 category.
