I am an American who has made England her home.
I have a degree in History of Art from Hamilton College, a small university in upstate New York, USA. My degree demanded I take studio courses; for all four years of my college degree, I found myself in a drawing studio, painting studio or a photography lab. It is fair to say, I have a visually based background.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been a part of a team; swim team from the age of 6 and soccer, basketball and softball in my high school years. I have also played tennis from the young age of 10 and continue to play doubles representing my tennis club, The Cumberland, today.
I learned how to play bridge socially with Nathalie Shashou with the birth of my second daughter. A few years later, I got the bug for competitive bridge. I have had several mentors who have guided me along the way; Glyn Liggins, Peter Crouch, David Gold, Simon Cope, Anita Sinclair, Sally Brock, Nicola Smith and Marion Robertson, to name a few. I have to thank Bridget Rampton for starting a bridge partnership with me and team Sushi, especially Nick Sandquist, for inspiring me to play in more international events.
I play my bridge at the Young Chelsea and Acol in London.
I love the game of Bridge. I am always learning.
