Catherine Jagger

Cath first played in the Lady Milne in 2003, and 2015 will be her eighth appearance, and sixth with partner Sarah Teshome.

Cath became England's youngest female grandmaster at the age of 26, and won a bronze medal at the 2006 European teams.

In and around looking after her three-year-old son Tim, she is an editor for a small publishing company that specialises in current affairs and reference and travel books. Since Tim's birth, there has been little time for her and her husband Chris to indulge their other main pastime of Latin American Formation Dancing, but they have kept up their exotic travel, including trips to see bears salmon-fishing in Alaska, the Flaming Cliffs of the Gobi, and the crumbling walls of Jericho. And yes, of course Tim comes too!
