Having worked in education for 20 years, I fulfilled many roles, including Manager of Information and Communications Technology, Teacher, Co-ordinator of Adult and Community Education, and Manager of a dry side Sports Centre. I have served on a number of committees, including Leamington & Warwick Music Centre Committee, Leamington Spa Carnival Committee, Balsall Common Residents’ Association, Leamington Bridge Club Committee, and Kenilworth Bridge Club Committee.
I have been involved in bridge administration since my late teens, and have probably been the youngest Club Secretary, County Secretary, and County Chairman in history! I am currently a member English Bridge Union’s Board of Directors, Chairman of Warwickshire Contract Bridge Association, a member of West Midlands Bridge Club Ltd Board of Directors, a Member of the Midland Counties Congress Committee, and a members of the English Bridge Union’s Panel of Tournament Directors.
In order to create more varied and interesting ways of enjoying the game of Bridge I am always looking to push the boundaries of technology. I do believe that our many volunteers play a very important part in all aspects of Bridge, and we should do our best to ensure that their skills and abilities are harnessed in order to develop the game of Bridge to its full potential.
