Harriet Cork

Harriet was born in 2008 and lives in Lincolnshire, far away from the main bridge hubs in England. She was 9 when she started learning how to play bridge during lunchtimes at her primary school bridge club, she hasn’t stopped playing since.

Since her first friendly against Germany in January 2020 Harriet has played in many international matches for the England U16 team.  In February 2023, as part of the successful England U16 team she became the youngest female player to win the Peggy Bayer Trophy at age 14.

Since then, Harriet has played in the U21 and U26W category in a number of international events, including European and World championships.

During lockdown Harriet was lucky enough to win the inaugural ‘Play with the Experts’ partnering the well-known English player David Burn.

She was part of 2 different teams, who won EBED’s Harry Scully Trophy- she was the captain of “Grand Slam Girls” in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Additionally she was joint first in the inaugural Yorkshire School’s Bridge event.

When Harriet is not playing bridge she enjoys singing in a choir, ballet, and learning languages.
