Ian Robson

Ian first learnt bridge at school in Nottingham and continued playing at university at Cambridge and at Durham, where he was part of a team that put Durham back into the bridge scene, with third place in the Portland Bowl. He has been involved in teaching beginners throughout his university time, encouraging them to take up the game and play at local clubs, even helping at Nottingham uni whilst living at home.

His biggest bridge achievement is probably that he happens to share his surname with a certain England professional. However, he also achieved second place in the 2017 U26 Championship Pairs at Eastbourne with Hanna Tuus. He can be found playing for Derbyshire.

Outside of bridge, he enjoys hillwalking and making videos.
